Doris Davidoff, CTC, CTIE,
MCC is a leading travel industry professional who is also
active in travel and tourism marketing, education and training.
She is a co-founder and owner of Belair Travel & Cruises
and Fan CLUB Cruises (in operation since 1969) in Florida
and was vice-president of VALU Travel Marketing, Inc., the
travel industry's only consultiumsm from 1992,
until merging it with Empress Travel in 1997. She has been
a travel and tourism educator since 1973.
Doris is a Certified Travel
Counselor (CTC), Certified
Travel Industry Executive (CTIE) and
Life Member of The
Travel Institute (formely ICTA) and
has earned the Master Cruise Counselor (MCC) designation
from the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
She has served as a member of the tourism faculties of The
George Washington University and Northern Virginia Community
College.
Doris is co-author with
her husband of many books, and has been a presenter of a variety of seminars for many travel
organizations.She
has written management articles for numerous travel trade
publications and is currently the automation editor of Travel
Trade. She has been a member of the Society of American
Travel Writers and is a former trustee of the Institute
of Certified Travel Agents.
Doris is a co-recipient,
with her husband, Phil, of the first annual Achievement
Award from the Society of Travel and Tourism Educators in
1988 and of Travel Trade magazine's Travel Agent
of the Year award in 1992.
Doris
earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from
Adelphi University and a Master of Arts degree with specialization
in Tourism Development and Travel Administration from The
George Washington University. |
